For everyone. Home shows the work that is yours today. What you see follows your role, so a colleague's page may look different.
Steps
- Open Home in the left menu. It is the first page after you sign in.
- Read the greeting and the line under it. They tell you whether anything needs you.
- Find Your day. Each card is one session, with a button such as Plan session or Record session.
- Check Unfinished sessions for write-ups you started and have not sent.
- Look at Your people for the young people you work with, and This week for your totals.
- If you also lead a team, use the switch near the top to move between the manager view and your caseload view.
- In the manager view, start at Needs you now. Then read Coming up, Your tasks and How it's going.
If it goes wrong
- If a section is missing, your role may not include it. Ask your admin to check your access.
- If a figure shows a dash, it could not be loaded. Refresh the page to try again.
- If a young person is missing from Your people, ask who manages allocation. Do not create a second record.
How it links together
Home reads from the planner, write-ups, tasks and concerns, so what you see is a summary of work held elsewhere. Pressing a button on a card takes you to the planner or the write-up form.
Doing the work there changes Home straight away. See the guides on planning, writing up and working through your tasks.

Which view you are looking at
Home changes with your role. If you only deliver work, you see your caseload view. It starts with today's cards.
If you also manage a team, you see an oversight view first. A small switch near the top lets you move to your caseload. It appears only when you have both a caseload and a managing role.
Your choice is remembered for next time. Changing the view does not give you any extra permissions. It only changes what is shown.
Your day
Each card shows the time, the young person, the place and where the session has got to. The button on the card is the next step you can take.
- Plan session appears when preparation has not been done yet.
- Record session appears once the plan is saved and the work has happened.
- A card marked as sent back means a checker has asked for changes. Open it to see the reason.
- A card marked as not delivered shows the reason given for the missed session.
Unfinished work, your people and your week
Unfinished sessions lists write-ups you have started. Open one to pick it up where you left off. A list that says there are no drafts means every write-up has been signed off.
Your people is your caseload at a glance. This week gives the figures for the current week. Both open into more detail when you select them.
The oversight view
Needs you now gathers the things only you can move on. Examples are overdue write-ups, week plans to approve, half-term reports waiting and consent that is about to expire. It also shows venue checks that are due.
Coming up looks ahead. Your tasks lists what is yours, and links to the full Tasks page. How it's going shows what was delivered this week, attendance over six weeks and records that are incomplete.
Quick actions starts common jobs without hunting through the menu. If nothing needs you, Home says so plainly.
Banners and notices
Notices can appear above your cards. They include planned sessions that still need a room, plans left with no staff member after someone leaves, and bookings that clash.
Each notice links to the place where you fix it. Fix the cause there, rather than hiding the banner.
If you lead on safeguarding
If you are a DSL, your overview puts the safeguarding queue first. It shows open concerns, overdue follow-ups and anything that needs a higher level of action. Operational tiles sit below it.
