Everyone with the Reporting section can open this page. Managers, DSLs and admins have it switched on by default. An admin can switch it on for anyone else.
Steps
- Open Reporting from the menu. The Pre-baked dashboard tab opens first. The Builder and Saved reports tabs sit beside it.
- Read the four headline tiles: active young people, sessions this week, open safeguarding concerns and attendance below 90%.
- Press any tile, card or colour band. A window opens with the rows behind the number.
- Look at the Risk heatmap to see how many young people sit in each attendance band. Then read Attendance trends and the wellbeing cards.
- Check the Termly cohort digest for average attendance and progress rating for each half-term or term.
- Press Export CSV at the top to download the cohort figures as a spreadsheet.
If it goes wrong
- A card that says there is no data yet means nothing has been recorded for it. It is not an error.
- If you cannot open the page, ask an admin to switch the Reporting section on for you.
- If a number looks wrong, press the tile and check the rows. The rows are always the live records you are allowed to see.
What you can see depends on your access
Every figure follows your own access. You only count young people you are allowed to see, so two people can see different totals on the same day. The page does not show other organisations at all.
The headline tiles
- Active young people counts everyone in an active case in your scope.
- Sessions this week counts delivered sessions in the current week, Monday to Sunday.
- Open safeguarding concerns counts concerns still open. A concern about a member of staff is counted too.
- Attendance below 90% lists young people whose rolling six-week attendance is under the 90% target.
Attendance and the risk heatmap
The heatmap splits the same attendance figure into five bands: under 70%, 70 to 79%, 80 to 89%, 90 to 99% and 100%. Press a band to see who is in it. The trends section adds the whole cohort, delivered against missed sessions for each young person, and weekly volume.
Wellbeing and the termly digest
The wellbeing cards compare each young person's first and latest score. They sort the series into improving, stable and declining. The termly digest averages attendance and progress ratings for each active term, and shows how many young people stand behind each average.
Extra sections for managers
Managers, DSLs and admins also see Proactivity tiles, a table of mentors and a SEND provision cost section. Proactivity counts sessions awaiting sign-off, overdue ILP and risk reviews, consents expiring in 30 days and young people not seen for 14 days or more. Press a tile to see who needs action.
Downloads
Everyone who can open the page sees the download row. Export CSV downloads the cohort attendance figures. The PDF button needs an individual report, so on this page it is switched off and tells you where to find one. Managers and admins also get a commissioner report pack picker for a PDF pack for one commissioner.
Pinned reports
When your team pins a saved report, a Saved by your team card appears above the tiles. See the guide on saved reports to pin one.
How it links together
- Staff recordWrite-ups, plans and concerns
- DashboardLive counts and trends
- Saved reportYour own selection
- Funder tileShared as counts
The dashboard reads the same records your team fills in all week: write-ups, attendance, concerns, wellbeing scores and plans. Nothing is typed here. When a record changes, the figure changes. A tile opens the rows behind it, so you can fix a gap at its source. The Builder and Saved reports tabs use the same data, and funder dashboards are built from saved reports. Nobody is told when you open the page.
