For everyone. The help centre is public, so it never shows your records. It describes the screens, not your organisation's own rules.
Steps
- On any page, select the round help button at the bottom right. Its label is Open help.
- Read what is under For this page. These guides were written for the page you are on.
- Type a question in the search box, such as how to cancel several sessions. Results update as you type.
- Choose Browse all articles → to open the full help centre.
- On the help centre, type in What do you need help with? or open a topic tile.
- Open a guide. Follow the short steps first, then read the detail below them if you need more.
- Use Print or save as PDF to keep a copy of a guide.
If it goes wrong
- If search finds nothing, use fewer words or the name of the screen you are on. Use Clear the search to browse instead.
- If a guide does not match what you see, your role or settings may differ. Ask your admin.
- If you still need a hand, use Email support. Describe the page and the message, never a password or a private record.
How it links together
The help button offers the guides written for the page you are on. The help centre is public, so it holds no records, and your own words are applied when a guide is shown.
Guides link to each other by name. See the guides called Start here and Find your way around.

The help button
The button sits at the bottom right of every signed-in page. It opens a small panel with the guides that fit the page you are on.
Some pages offer more than one guide, because more than one job is done there. Others offer one. Pages that have no guide of their own still let you search.
Searching
Search finds guides and the individual questions inside them. A result that matched a question shows the question, so you can see why it appeared.
If nothing matches every word, the page shows guides that match most of them. Try the name of the screen, a button name or a plain phrase like reset my password.
Browsing by topic
The help centre groups guides by what you are doing. There are topics for getting started, planning, write-ups, scheduling, records, safeguarding, attendance, your team, venues, reports, questionnaires, messages, imports and organisation settings.
The page also offers a starting point for your job: delivering work, checking the team's work, handling concerns, or setting up the organisation.
Reading a guide
Each task guide opens with a short list of steps. Under it is a longer explanation, with a contents list that jumps to each part.
Many guides end with questions people ask, and a list of related guides. Words such as young person and session appear as your organisation names them.
Printing and sharing
Print or save as PDF opens your browser's print window. Choose a printer, or save as PDF. Screenshots show examples, so your own screen may differ slightly.
Share a guide by sending its address. It contains no private information.
Asking for help
Say which page you were on and what you were trying to do. Copy the exact message if one appeared. Never include passwords, recovery codes or a child's private details.
