Find the write-ups nobody has written

Use the list of planned sessions with no write-up to see who is behind, newest first, and open any one to finish it.

Checked against the screens:

Every organisation can choose its own words for the people and roles it works with. When you are signed in, this guide uses your organisation’s words. Otherwise it uses the product’s own.

For managers and admins. The page lists planned sessions in the past that have no write-up, newest first. A write-up is never locked for being late.

Steps

  1. Open Write-ups needing attention. The list sits under Outstanding write-ups.
  2. Read down Date and Waiting. Yesterday's are the ones you can still act on.
  3. To see one mentor's, press their name in the row of chips. The number beside it is how many they owe.
  4. Press the last chip to leave out accounts that have not delivered in the last 28 days.
  5. Contact the mentor about the oldest ones first.
  6. To look at one, press Open write-up. It opens the form for that session.
  7. Come back later. Written ones drop off the list.

If it goes wrong

  • Not on the list? It may be hidden by the filter. Press Show them on the note above the table.
  • The page sends you to Home? It is only for managers and admins.
  • A mentor says it was never delivered? They should have answered Not delivered. Otherwise ask them what happened.

What counts as outstanding

A session that was planned, whose day has passed, and that has no write-up against it. It stays on the list until a write-up exists. A session answered as not delivered has a note, so it is not listed.

Who you see

Managers see the mentors in their area. Admins see the whole organisation. The chips show each mentor with a count. A tag says when an account has had no recent sessions.

The 28-day filter

Some rows belong to an account that has not delivered anything in 28 days. That is often a booking quirk and not a real backlog. The filter hides them, and a note says how many it hid, with Show them to bring them back. The young people are still real, so someone should look.

Late is never locked

Since 27 September a write-up is not locked for being past its day. Open write-up goes straight to the form. If your organisation asks for a reason when one is late, the page says so near the top. Change this in Settings takes you to the switch.

After the write-up is sent

It joins the countersign queue like any other. You then read and sign it, or send it back with what needs fixing.

How it links together

The list is built from planned sessions with no write-up, so it matches what Home shows each mentor as owed. Reminder emails to mentors point at the same work. Once a write-up is sent it joins the countersign queue. See the guide to countersigning and the guide to a returned write-up.

Questions people ask

Why is a session on this list?

It was planned, its day has passed, and no write-up exists for it. Open it to see who it belongs to.

Can a mentor still write it up late?

Yes. A write-up is never locked for being late. They may be asked for a short reason when they send it.

Why have some rows disappeared when I filter?

The last chip hides accounts with no sessions in 28 days. A note says how many it hid. Press Show them to see them.

Does a session marked Not delivered show here?

No. Answering Not delivered writes a note, so it is not outstanding.

What does Open write-up do?

It opens the write-up form for that session, so you or the mentor can see what is needed. It does not send anything.

Where do I turn the late reason on or off?

Press Change this in Settings in the note near the top, if you have permission. If not, the note says who can.
