The team at a glance: how the audit page is laid out.
For managers and admins. Anyone else is sent back to the home page. The audit is for support, not for punishment.
Steps
- Open the audit page. It shows every mentor in your reach.
- Choose the period: By half-term, By academic year, By week or a custom range of dates.
- Read the headline figures: Planning on time, Notes on the day, Accepted first time, Evidence and Attendance.
- Check the bands: on target is 90 percent or more, close is 75 percent, and below needs support.
- Narrow the list with the filter, for example Needs support or Notes missing.
- Switch to Team grid to see everyone on one screen.
- Press Export shown to save the view you are looking at.
- Open a person to see their detail.
If it goes wrong
- If the page says the audit could not be loaded, reload. It is not saying everyone is on target.
- Figures marked early data have too little behind them for a conclusion. Do not act on them alone.
- If the area list could not be loaded, reload before treating the view as all areas.
- If a figure looks wrong, open the person and check the sessions behind it.
How it links together
Figures come from planning, write-ups, evidence and attendance. They change as people do their work. Nothing here edits those records. Opening a person leads to the detail guide, and the observation guide covers the Development tab.

What the figures mean
- Planning on time is how many plans were sent before the visit.
- Notes on the day is how many write-ups were sent on the day.
- Accepted first time is how many were counter-signed without being sent back.
- Evidence is how many have evidence attached.
- Attendance is, of those that counted, how many went ahead.
Sent back and waiting
Sent back counts write-ups returned to the mentor. Waiting counts those still waiting to come back. A pile of these may mean unclear guidance, not a weak mentor.
Form
Form compares the last three weeks with the period shown. It needs enough data on all four measures in both periods. An up arrow means up five points or more, a down arrow down five or more.
Filters and order
The filters show people with figures unusual enough to check, such as no evidence on a run of write-ups or notes mostly late. Order the list by need, name, or any single measure.
Cards and grid
Cards show the detail for each person. The grid shows the whole team. Open a person from either to see their audit.
Audit settings
At the bottom is a setting for whether mentors can see their own progress. Managers and admins can change it.
Use it fairly
Look at the reasons behind a figure. A late note may follow a hard day. Talk to the person before drawing a conclusion.
