Only managers and admins can change form wording. Anyone else is told a manager or admin role is needed.
Steps
- Open Form wording. The wording is grouped by form.
- Find the box you want to change. A short description says where it appears.
- Type your own words in the label box. It shows the product's wording as a hint.
- Add A line of help under it (optional) if people need guidance.
- Tick Hide this box on the form if you do not use it. Only some boxes can be hidden.
- Press Save. To go back, press Put back the product's wording.
If it goes wrong
- If a message says the wording could not be loaded, reload the page. Nothing has changed.
- If a save fails, the message under the box says why. Shorten the text if it is over the limit.
- A change shows straight away for everyone. If it reads badly, put the product's wording back.
What changes
A change shows on the website straight away for everyone in your organisation. It is recorded with who made it and when. The phone app picks up the same wording in a later update.
Label and help line
The label is the name of the box. The help line sits under it and is optional. The label can be up to 60 characters and the help line up to 300. You cannot type past the limit. Leave a box blank to keep the product's own wording.
Hiding a box
A box with a tick for hiding can be taken off the form. Use it only for boxes your team never needs. If a box is required by law or by a rule, it cannot be hidden, so it has no tick.
Putting wording back
A box with your own wording, help line or hide setting shows Put back the product's wording. It clears your changes for that box only. Other boxes are left as they are.
Where it applies
These are the words on forms your team fills in. At the moment the list covers the session plan form, including its prep notes box. More boxes are added over time. It is not the place for questionnaires sent to families. For those, edit the form itself in Questionnaires.
How it links together
- EditLabel or help
- SaveRecorded with your name
- WebsiteChanges at once
- Phone appLater update
The change applies to everyone in your organisation, on the screens that use that box. Each change is recorded with who made it and when. Putting the product's wording back removes your change for that box only.
