Quickstart — your first session write-up

Add a young person, plan a session, run it, and write it up. The five-minute tour.

Before you start

Daymello centres on the young person. Everything you record is attached to a young person's record. Start by adding one.

1. Add a young person

From your Home dashboard, go to Cabinet → New young person. Fill the required fields (reference code, given name, family name, DOB, status). Everything else can wait.

2. Plan a session

Open the young person's cabinet, click the Sessions tab, then 'Plan new session'. Pick a date/time, a session type, and (optionally) a location and intent. Save.

3. Run + write up

On the day, open the plan and click 'Start write-up'. Fill the narrative, pick an outcome (delivered / missed / rescheduled), rate engagement + achievement, and save. Sign off when you're satisfied.

4. See the bigger picture

The Reporting view aggregates across the young people you can see: active count, sessions delivered, concerns open, distance travelled by area. Use it for commissioner reports.
